These slides show the month that the field was harvested. This was determined by the first time that the green portion was less than 0.32 between June and November. As the 2019 harvest was not completed a number of fields are still unharvested - these are displayed in olive.

The slides above show the newly planted fields - those with a minimum green value early in the year.  As the 2019 harvest was not completed when the analysis was done minimum values could not be determined for that year.

Was it a green harvest?

The Normalized Burn Ratio (NBR) was calculated using the band 11 (slides on the left) and band 12 (slides on the right). An increase in the value of the NBR before the harvest is an indicator that a burn has occurred.

Quality

The Normalized Difference Vegetation Index is a simple graphical indicator that can be used as a measure of plant health in remote sensing. In the context of sugarcane cultivation, it gives a sense of the quality of the crop captured in the image.
